What is mindfulness,
anyway?
Tucked away in a monastery, or close as your own home?
A long journey, or soon as your next breath?
For mood and health, or meaning and liberation?
For a better life, or a better world?
YES!
Mindfulness is simply the practice of bringing a curious, non-judgmental awareness to the present moment.
That's it.

After more than 2,500 years passed down only to those devoting their lives to religious asceticism as well as the practice, in some of the world's most remote locations, the last 50 years have seen top researchers, clinicians, and teachers the world over sharpen the ancient practices of Vipassana and the Brahmaviharas into a set of practical techniques with proven benefits you can try today that just might change everything.

And what qualifies me to teach it?
After a lifetime made better in every conceivable way by happening to have stumbled upon mindfulness at a very early age I decided that it was time to start giving back.
I want to pass some of the wonder, joy, love, and ease that it's brought to all aspects of my life on to others who find themselves looking for something more in their lives, or a peace that seemed to elude them.
In 2020 I was accepted into Jack Kornfield & Tara Brach's Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program through the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, and was accepted.
Over two years of rigorous study, practice, and teaching later I have been authorized to offer these services as the final step toward my certification.

Online Group Intro Courses
Four weeks finding YOUR practice.
Live, weekly, 90 minute sessions establishing a practice that brings meaning, joy, and ease to your life. We'll start with finding an anchor that works for you, doesn't have to be breath, and then work our way together through mindfulness of body, thoughts, and of emotions. We also try some heart-based practices, techniques for finding your own loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity with proven, real world benefits. Each class will include didactic teaching, guided practicing, and plenty of time for your feedback and questions.
